A major truce in Syria's civil war has come into effect, the first organised by world powers in five years of war. Ninety-seven groups signed up to the two-week ceasefire, but there have been reports of some sporadic clashes and a car bombing. Mark Lowen reports from BBC News.

Major General Sergei Rudskoy said: "The Russian Federation has completely stopped attacks in the 'green zone', that is to say those areas and armed units that have sent to us requests for ceasefire".
